Here at the Animal Health Centre we are committed to continuing education and advancement of our skills. We are proud to announce that we now offer cardiac ultrasound! This is a new service that will complement our current services. We are very excited to offer this advanced diagnostic test to help improve the health of our patients.

Cardiac ultrasound, also referred to as an echocardiogram or echo, is very similar to regular ultrasound in that it uses the same harmless and pain- free sound waves. These sound waves create a real-time motion image of the inside of the heart.

An echocardiogram is a non-invasive, safe procedure that will allow us to make a specific diagnosis for many conditions, including heart murmurs. With a specific diagnosis, we can then make very precise recommendations for treatment.
