​What can I do to ensure my pet stays healthy?
 

Diagnostics may be recommended during the examination. As an example, bloodwork, radiographs and urinalysis can tell us valuable information about your pets internal health and guide your veterinarian in treating your pet. 
 
Examination can also be an opportunity to discuss nutrition and any behavioral concerns you may have about your pet.
 
Regular wellness examinations, vaccines and certain tests, depending on the age and health of your pet, can go a long way in maintaining optimal health for your beloved friend.

 A wellness examination is the best way to ensure your pet remains healthy. Early detection of abnormal findings are helpful in disease prevention or treatment.
 
During your pet's wellness visit, your veterinarian will complete a detailed physical examination of your pet, which is a nose-to-tail inspection for any abnormalities. Your veterinarian will use special equipment, including a stethoscope to listen to their heart and lungs, an otoscope to look inside the ears, and an opthalmascope to examine their eyes.

Your pet's mouth will be checked along with mucous membranes, which can indicate anemia if they are pale. The veterinarian will check for lumps and bumps, feel the abdomen for any abnormalities, take your pets temperature and assess mobility.
