Heather O'Connell, 
​Registered Veterinary Technician

Heather graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 2011 with an honors diploma in Veterinary Technology.  After successfully completing the Veterinary Technician National exam she is now a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Born and raised on the west coast of the province, Heather accepted a full-time position in her home town at the Animal Health Centre after graduation.

Heather currently resides in Corner Brook with her daughter, Heidi. They have two rescue cats (Meeka and Mia), and a Chihuahua named Penney.

Heather has many interests within the veterinary field, such as laboratory diagnostics, clicker training, ultrasonography, and laser therapy.  She excels in compassionate nursing care and is eager to lend a helping hand to our clients and their animal companions. Heather is dedicated to client education, and looks forward to expanding her knowledge with every new and improved service the Animal Health Centre offers.
